Rebirth Requirements and Level Reset
Understand the visible confirmation panel before resetting your level.
Quick answer
Open Rebirth and compare the Before and After columns. In the reviewed second-rebirth panel, XP Boost changes from x1.5 to x2 and the level changes to 1. The panel explicitly says that rebirth resets your level.

The second-rebirth panel shows Level 15/20 before it is ready. At level 20 the panel changes to Ready to Rebirth and enables the Rebirth button.
Continue training if your progress bar is incomplete. Skip Rebirth is a separate paid option in the recording; it is not required by the ordinary level-based route.
A separate recording shows Rebirth 3 at Level 14/30, with XP Boost x2 changing to x2.5 and Level 14 changing to Level 1. In that recorded state, the next target is level 30. Read the denominator in your own panel because later rebirth requirements are not established by the second-rebirth screenshot.

The recording later shows a level-1 character in the lobby while a rebirth bonus remains visible. Return to the training pad and check the new progress bar after confirming.
The lobby also uses rebirth counts to unlock stronger training stations. Recheck those signs after a rebirth instead of assuming every station is immediately available.
